Hay cuadros que se pintan con las manos.
Y hay otros que te pintan por dentro mientras los haces.

Este ha sido uno de esos.

Cómo empezó: una lectura, una fecha, una señal

 

Hace exactamente un año, en una lectura de carta (22 de febrero), descubrí con claridad el eje nodal Virgo–Piscis en mi propia carta. Fue uno de esos momentos en los que la intuición toca la puerta con suavidad… pero no se va.

La llamada con una de mis astrólogas favoritas ocurrió justo un día antes de un evento en el que los nodos lunares estaban prácticamente sincronizados con los míos., pero al revés.  Ella lo nombró así: un punto donde pasado y futuro vuelven a encontrarse; regalos olvidados pasan al presente, y al mismo tiempo se afloja la rigidez para mirar su sombra, para ver dónde nos pasamos. Estás en la mitad de tu vida. 

Y ahí empezó la pintura.

Virgo y Piscis: detalle y océano

Virgo tiene que ver con el detalle, con la precisión, con el deseo de hacerlo bien. En su sombra, puede convertirse en perfeccionismo, autoexigencia y dificultad para ver la perspectiva amplia.

Piscis trae justo lo contrario: la mirada grande, el misterio, la entrega. Donde los límites se disuelven y la vida pide confianza.

Pintar este eje fue aprender a sostener ambas cosas a la vez: honrar lo pequeño sin perder el todo y sobre todo confiar en el proceso :)

Neptuno, el azul, y el “útero cósmico”

Ha sido especialmente simbólico crear gran parte de esta obra cuando Neptuno estaba en los últimos grados de Piscis y seguir procesándola cuando se movió a Aries. Siento que por eso hay tanto azul: azul océano, azul profundo, azul que envuelve.

Dentro de ese mar,  y sobre ese mar Virgo apareció como una gran constelación de llena de detelles: hojas, texturas, partículas, tonos de naturaleza. Detalles diminutos, pero esenciales.

Y el 'útero cósmico” conteniendonos!  

 

En mi caso, el eje se siente muy personal porque el Nodo Norte está en la casa 12 y el Nodo Sur en la casa 6.

Durante mucho tiempo, si no hacía algo perfecto, era muy dura conmigo misma. Dudas constantes, necesidad de demostrar, búsqueda compulsiva de habilidades. Como si el valor dependiera de la eficacia.

La casa 6 habla de rutina, servicio, orden, método, “definir” y “encajar”. Puede ser medicina… o jaula.

La casa 12 es otra cosa: rendición, espiritualidad, empatía, amor. Pasar del control a la confianza. Del análisis a la entrega. De la preocupación a la presencia.

So como integrar esa sensibilidad, y cuidado por el detalle con en la casa del amor infinito del amor, la entrega al proceso. 

 

Llevar Virgo a la casa 12: límites que sostienen lo sagrado

Una de las revelaciones más importantes del proceso fue esta:

Para disolverte en Piscis sin perderte, necesitas un borde que te cuide. Un contenedor.

Llevar Virgo a la casa 12 es crear límites amorosos. Estructuras simples que protegen lo sagrado. Detalle puesto al servicio de la conexión, no del juicio.

Piscis (Neptuno) inspira, abre portales, sueña.
Virgo (Mercurio) nombra, observa, aterriza.

Uno trae el ideal. El otro lo vuelve practicable.

Ese es el puente: del agua a la tierra, de la tierra al agua. Una conversación constante. 

 

Pintar grande

Por eso me encanta pintar en formato grande: cuando el lienzo es grande, el cuerpo entra en la obra. Pinto con movimientos amplios, con rotaciones, con respiración. Como si el cuadro se hiciera desde el torso, no solo desde la mano.

Y sí: este cuadro me ha pintado por dentro.

The Virgo–Pisces Nodal Axis: the painting that worked on me from the inside

Some paintings are made with your hands.
And some paint you from the inside while you make them.

This was one of those.

How it began,

Exactly a year ago, during a chart reading (22 February), I clearly met the Virgo–Pisces nodal axis in my own chart. It was one of those moments syncronicities where things come together. 

The call with one of my favourite astrologer happened right before an event when the lunar nodes were almost perfectly aligned with mine but opposite. She described it as a point where past and future meet again: forgotten gifts return to the present, and at the same time, rigidity loosens so we can face the shadow, the places where we go too far. She said, this is the middle of your life time! 

That’s where this painting began.

Virgo and Pisces: detail and ocean

Virgo is detail, precision, craft, the desire to do things well. In shadow, it can become perfectionism, harsh self-judgement, and losing the wider perspective.

Pisces brings the opposite: the big vision, mystery, surrender. A place where edges soften and life asks for trust.

Painting this axis became a practice of holding both: honouring the small without losing the whole. 

Neptune, the blues, and the “cosmic womb”

It feels especially symbolic that I created much of this work while Neptune was in the final degrees of Pisces, and continued processing it as Neptune moved into Aries. I think that’s why there’s so much blue: ocean-blue, deep-blue, enveloping-blue.

Inside that sea, Virgo emerged as a big constellation of small gestures: leaves, textures, particles, natural tones. Tiny details, yet essential.

In the painting, both are held in what I can only describe as a “cosmic womb” where everything is held.

For me, this axis is deeply personal because my North Node sits in the 12th house and my South Node in the 6th.

For a long time, if something wasn’t perfect, I was hard on myself. Constantly questioning my abilities, chasing more skills, trying to prove I was “good enough”. As if my worth depended on competence.

The 6th house speaks of routine, service, order, method, defining and refining. It can be medicine… or a cage.

The 12th house is different: surrender, spirituality, empathy, love. Moving from control into trust. From analysis into devotion. From worry into presence.

 

Bringing Virgo into the 12th: boundaries that protect the sacred

One of the biggest revelations in this process was this:

To dissolve into Pisces without losing yourself, you need a caring edge. A container.

Bringing Virgo into the 12th means building loving boundaries. Simple structures that protect what is sacred. Detail in service of connection, not judgement.

Pisces (Neptune) inspires, opens portals, dreams.
Virgo (Mercury) names, observes, grounds.

One brings the ideal. The other makes it workable.

That’s the bridge: water to earth, earth to water. A continuous conversation.

I love painting big.

That’s why I love working large. When the canvas is big, the body enters the work. I paint with wide movements, rotations, breath. As if the painting is made through the torso, not just the hand.

And yes: this painting worked on me from the inside.
